The Banham Community Centre is a light, airy and fully accessible building located in the centre of Banham, within easy reach of Attleborough, Diss and Thetford. It has ample parking.

 

The indoor spaces lend themselves to a wide range of activities and are host to a number of local clubs and organisations who use them for dance lessons, badminton and carpet bowls. 

 

The Centre has a community bar with an adjoining garden with separate play area for children and toddlers. 

 

With connecting doors throughout the building, the various spaces can be used separately for private occasions or can be joined together to allow easy movement between them. This permits, for example, the main hall to be used for craft fair tables while the small hall is used for refreshments for the event.  

 

The spaces can also be used for continuing professional development (CPD) events and conferences that require breakout areas.

  • The main hall is a large space with a high vaulted ceiling and solid wooden sports floor with underfloor heating. It is large enough to provide space for two full-sized badminton courts and has a large stage with curtains, a separate private bar. 
  • With 32 tables and over 300 chairs available on the premises it can be used for  plays, conferences, dancing or concerts.
  • The hall is very popular for children’s parties as it is able to accommodate bouncy castles.

  • Private bar: £12.50 per hour, per 50 guests. Set up fee of £50 which is removed for sessions of 5 hours or more.

  • Swags: £65.
  • All bookings must include time for setting up, packing up, and cleaning.
  • Commercial is defined as being hired by a business or private individual for profit and not freely open to the community.
  • Discounted rates applies to regular users or for block bookings of 4 or more sessions, paid in advance.

  • The small hall provides a private and secure space with its own entrance and toilets. This allows it to be used for such activities as toddler groups, private meetings or training workshops.

  • A separate small kitchen with serving hatch can be used for serving light refreshments, teas and sandwiches.
